Manley "Pultec" MID Frequency Equalizer

The Manley Labs Enhanced Mid Frequency Pultec Equalizer is a modern single-channel, mid-range processor that expands the capabilities of the classic Pultec design. Engineered to complement Manley's EQP1A EQ, it features sharper bell curves for surgical precision in the critical mid-frequency spectrum. The unit is organized into three dedicated sections: Low-Mid Peak, High-Mid Dip, and High-Mid Peak. By creatively combining the cut and boost controls on overlapping frequencies, you can craft uniquely tailored tonal shapes.

Built to the highest standards, it employs professional-grade components including conductive plastic potentiometers, sealed gold-contact switches, polystyrene and film capacitors, custom-wound transformers, and a regulated tube power supply. The all-tube makeup gain stage drives the passive inductor circuit, delivering high output with exceptionally low distortion.

This enhanced version incorporates several updates over the original, such as transformerless balanced inputs/outputs, a feedback-adjustment preset for the line amplifier, and a rear-panel 3-way phase switch. This switch selects normal (0°) or inverted (180°) phase for the balanced XLR input, with a center position that engages a high-impedance, transformerless path optimized for the 1/4" unbalanced input.

Housed in a rugged 1U steel chassis with a CNC-machined, laser-engraved faceplate, each unit is handmade in the USA and includes an IEC power cable.
