Avalon VT-737sp Class A Tube Channel Strip - Used In Excellent Condition

The Avalon VT-737sp is widely considered an industry-standard vacuum tube channel strip, famous for producing the polished, high-headroom vocal tracks heard across classic hip-hop, R&B, and professional voice-over work. Combining a Class A tube preamplifier, an opto-compressor, and a 4-band sweep equalizer in a rugged 2U rack-mount chassis, it remains a highly sought-after piece of studio hardware.

Features:

• Circuit Topology: Four dual triode vacuum tubes (Sovtek 6922) operating in a high-voltage, discrete Class A configuration.

• Gain Range: Up to +58dB for the transformer-balanced microphone input; +30dB for the front-panel Hi-Z instrument DI; -27dB to +28dB for line inputs.

• Opto-Compressor: Optical passive attenuator design featuring adjustable threshold (-30dB to +20dB), variable ratio (1:1 to 20:1), and adjustable attack and release controls.

• Sweep Equalizer: 4-band discrete Class A design. Includes dual sweep mid-bands with x10 frequency multipliers, and switched passive high/low shelves (up to 32kHz air band).
