The SP Compressor ditches the attack and sustain knobs and uses a 3-way toggle switch for setting the amount of compression. You still get a volume control, as well as an additional “blend” knob. The volume control offers up to 15dB of boost, letting you use the SP to push your amp.

The blend knob controls the blend of your original signal and the compressed sound. This is a very clever and unique feature. It serves a similar purpose to the attack and release knobs in that it affects how much your tone is compressed. The big difference here is that some of your signal will retain your playing dynamics! Turning the blend way down will leave your tone mostly intact, just adding a tiny bit of barely noticeable “smoothing”.

The 3-way compression toggle is tuned to a an exact position to avoid adding more fine-tuning. At the highest setting you will acquire a very smooth tone, keeping your guitar tone with original character and amazing sound.

Ramon Stagñaro was considered one of the top studio musician in the world, a one of a kind person with amazing talent.  Originally from Peru, born May 10, 1954 – February 16, 2022 leaving behind amazing recordings, soundtracks and all his top guitar gear and recording studio.  He worked with top artist like Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Nelly Furtado, Marco Antonio Solis, Josh Groban, Luis Miguel, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Neil Diamond, Juan Gabriel, Yanni, Gino Vannelli, Alejandro Sanz, Julio Iglesias, Herb Alpert, Café Tacuba, Armando Manzanero, Joan Sebastian, Diana Ross, Eva Ayllon, Alex Acuña, GianMarco, The Grammys and numerous film credits. His wife, Angelica Stagñaro has put in our hands the trust to help her sell his equipment and vintage guitar collection.  It’s an honor to help her in this unfortunate situation. Most of the equipment is sold ‘As Is’ but knowing Ramon, he took good care of his gear like nobody would.  We are confident that all his gear works perfectly fine and at this point all sales are final.
