The Evans EQ Pad is a pad made for the kick bass drum to damp and eliminate resonance, vibrations and other unwanted sounds created by the sound pressure of a bass drum.

Hinged pad bounces off the head, allowing sustain before returning to dampen the vibrating head
Smaller pad on opposite end that can be used on smaller drums or for minimal damping
