Its gain reduction circuit utilizes a field-effect transistor (FET) as a variable element within a voltage divider, enabling its signature dynamic control. Renowned for its fast response, musical character, and ease of use, the vintage Urei 1176 remains a favorite among engineers. It features a rugged build and a precise, high-quality VU meter. The unit supports operation at both 110V and 220V, 50/60 Hz. The 1176 in in excellent perfect working conditions.
