The unit's clear visual feedback and intuitive operation are complemented by its deep integration with the SSL Meter Plug-In (license included) and SSL 360 deg software (sold separately), all within a durable, metal-encased desktop module.

Designed to control up to three DAWs simultaneously, the UF1 comes with pre-configured profiles for popular software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA, and Pyramix. Its dedicated transport controls and weighted jog/scrub wheel make navigating even the largest sessions effortless. Secondary transport keys are fully customizable for workflow shortcuts like loop on/off and click track on/off, and the Shift button provides quick access to DAW automation modes. The high-quality 100mm motorized fader offers precise control for both automation writing and fine-tuning track volume during recording and mixing sessions.

The dual high-resolution displays offer detailed visual feedback, showing DAW track names, parameters, time display, SSL Meter plug-in info, and 360 deg-enabled channel strips from the SSL Plug-In Mixer. You can control SSL Channel Strip plug-ins directly from the UF1, with EQ curves displayed on the large screen and gate/compression activity shown on the smaller display. The versatile, notched encoder allows for channel banking, emulating a mouse wheel (Focus mode), and controlling your computer system's volume.

Along with the UF1, you'll receive a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plug-in, which is displayed on the 4.3" IPS screen and can be controlled directly from the UF1 or through the SSL 360 deg Plug-In Mixer. The SSL Meter plug-in offers critical metering tools, including peak & RMS levels, K-System, stereo balance, phase correlation, Lissajous phase scope, a 31-band RTA, and VU and PPM metering.

The dual True Peak and RMS meters provide vital feedback on levels and overloads, while the Lissajous phase scope, adjustable fade rate, and phase correlation meter help identify phase and stereo imaging issues. The 31-band RTA displays the frequency spectrum of your mix, allowing for detailed analysis and adjustment of problem areas. You can also adjust peak hold and averaging times to tailor the analysis to your source material.

For expanded control, the UF1 can be paired with the SSL UC1 and UF8 Controllers. Use the UF1 independently or combine it with the UF8 for a deeper SSL DAW control experience. The UF1 is an ideal addition to the UC1 SSL plug-in controller, providing fader control and quick access to SSL 360 deg-enabled channel strip parameters with visual EQ feedback. For the ultimate SSL workflow, you can expand your setup by combining up to four UF8s with the UC1 and UF1.
