This Roland JD-990 Super JD is in excellent condition and includes the Orchestral Expansion Board. The JD-990 is an enhanced, rack-mounted version of the iconic JD-800, and served as Roland's flagship JD-series synthesizer. Its powerful synthesis engine and flexible studio features paved the way for the successful JV- and XV-series rack modules that followed.
The JD-990 offers 6MB of high-quality ROM sounds with deep, analog-style editing capabilities such as low-pass filtering, ring modulation, oscillator sync, and frequency cross-modulation. It's also fully compatible with JV-80 and JD-800 expansion boards for even more sonic possibilities.
A large, easy-to-read LCD display makes programming intuitive, allowing you to visualize envelopes and LFOs in real time. The onboard multi-effects processor includes delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, distortion, and EQ for powerful sound shaping.
For studio connectivity, the JD-990 features MIDI In/Out/Thru and eight audio outputs (four stereo pairs). This unit includes one internal expansion slot, which is currently filled with the Orchestral Expansion Board.
