The IG-290-3 amp have a design for the Clean channel to provide lots of headroom with hot pickups. The EQ is between stage 1 and 2 like on Fenders.) Red and Yellow are 3-stage w/ Cathode follower and Post EQ. The Red channel is magnificent! For the potential drive it has, it cleans up the best of any channel. The Yellow channel can be set to duplicate the Red channel, or it can yield even deeper bass and higher treble. Even then, the high end is complimentary.

The JLA is fantastic at getting edge of distortion tones without being fuzzy. Even at loud volume, the JLA's distortion is smooth and not grating on the ears, unlike other brands.  Jarrod has worked some real magic here. This is no doubt related to the use of a Class A, Cathode Bias circuit with 4 quality EL84 tubes. All channels have a beautiful top-to-bottom richness of harmonics.

The JLA sound is amazing in that even when it gets loud, it doesn't irritate your Tinnitus like so many other amps do. Did I say that this little gem can get LOUD? With both amps on A/B (2x90 watts). A versatile, handmade amp combine Jarrod's personal attention on the development of this amp.
