Guitar & Bass Tablature Editor +6 SndPks

Available for download, Guitar Pro 6 XL from Arobas is software useful for the creation, editing, arrangement, layout, and exportation of guitar-based scores and tablature, though it is also useful in producing legible, professional-looking multitrack scores. The software is also suitable as a practice tool, with its on-board looper, tuner, and library of chord-positioning on fingerboards. As for mixing capabilities for demoing material, Guitar Pro 6 XL features an integrated sound engine with over a hundred soundbanks and 50 virtual effects. The XL edition differs from the Essential edition by providing 100 more instrument soundbanks, rendering this version of the software more suitable for those composing full-scale works with many differing parts.

Once your score is finished, you have the option to export your files in a number of different formats. This software is compatible with Macs, Windows computers, and Linux platforms.

Composing/Notation Tools

Tablature and Sheet Music
Guitar Pro provides three different notation styles (standard/tablature/slash) for reading, as well as a zoom feature and a virtual fretboard/keyboard to visualize the exact positioning of your fingers.
Multiple Modes of Note Capture
Capture your notes with the numeric keypad, your mouse, or a MIDI instrument. Guitar Pro 6 then allows you to edit notes directly in standard score format or in tablature.
Measure for Measure
Make every measure of music your own with the ability to indicate compositional facets such as key signatures, bar repetitions, rhythmic repetitions, coda implementation, section demarcation (verse, chorus, bridge), any note-head from whole to sixty-fourth, as well as triplets, all manners of tuplets, rests, crescendo/decrescendo, dynamic indications, accents, tied notes, accidentals, grace notes, stem directions, comments, lyrics, and chord diagrams.
Guitar-Specific Notating Tools
For guitar-specific notations, you can clearly show fingering for left and right hands, differentiation in up and down strokes, let ring, palm mute, natural and pinch harmonics, bends, tremolo bar, vibratos, slides, hammer-on, pull off, tapping, slapping, trills, tremolos, rasgueado, barre chords, and fade in/out.
Scales
View and listen to many scales, from common modes to exotic altered tonalities. Any selected scale can be displayed on a virtual fingerboard or piano to help you compose your song, write a solo/melody line, or simply see where you need to put your fingers.
Chord Display
Guitar Pro can display all possible positions of any given chord on a virtual fingerboard. Draw a diagram by clicking on the chord-grid, and see all matching names.
Lyrics
Enter any lyrics and arrange them on top of a vocal track. You can also add annotations to point riffs or solos that might necessitate extra explanation for the instrumentalist taking the lead at that particular moment in time.
Layout Tools
Based on the classic or jazz templates, you can set 70 different parameters, configure the layout of your scores exactly as you wish, and achieve professional-looking printouts. Furthermore, a multitrack option allows you to create music scores with dozens of instruments: guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, strings, brass, and more.

Practicing Tools

Nitty Gritty for your Practice Routine
Guitar Pro 6 provides a collection of tools for your practice sessions, including a variable tempo control, a phrase looper, a metronome, chord and scale libraries, a virtual guitar fingerboard layout, and a virtual keyboard. You can also edit or buy full-score files on which you may solo or mute any instrument, allowing you to fill the gap.
Digital Tuner
The digital tuner allows you to tune your guitar by plugging it into your sound card or utilizing a compatible microphone. The digital tuner works for any possible tuning, and should you want to utilize a predetermined one, you can select your configuration among 33 tunings for 4- to 8-string instruments. Furthermore, you can create and save your own custom tunings.

Mixing Tools

Mixing Philosophy
This software allows you to adjust the timbre of any instrument through three individual panels: instrument (where you select the sound source), audio (where you mess about until it sounds right) and mastering (the final step, as described below).
On-Board Sound Engine
An on-board sound engine brings you over 100 studio-recorded soundbanks, effects, and amps. Select your sounds of choice among our built-in library, or create your own presets for guitars, basses, banjoes, keyboards, and drums. Also included are emulations of 50 guitar pedals, including overdrive, tremolo, compressor, octaver, distortion, delay, wah-wah, and more.
